Sexy Serena Williams Pic Stirs Up Controversy

After tweeting this sultry picture of herself, the twitterverse blew up. Many criticized Serena Williams for being irresponsible and basically taunting more men to stalk her, as a man who used social networking to stalk her had just been arrested.

Said Greg Couch of The Sporting News:

“It’s a sexy photo, she looks great and it’s not pornographic. To be honest, I would actually find it to be somewhat artistic if it weren’t for the serious business of stalking women.”

Another sports site wrote:

“What was her message anyway? What was she trying to say? Just this: Look at me. Instead, what she was saying was this: Peep at me, but don’t stalk me. Huh?”

Ugh. What a stupid thing to say.

Here’s our problem with the criticism: It’s NOT Serena’s fault that men are stalking her!!! She SHOULD NOT have to alter her lifestyle because of men who lack the basic decency and self-control to let her live her life!!

Criticizing her for putting up this photo is basically the same as saying, “she was asking for it.” Serena is NOT to blame for the actions of her stalker!

That being said, public figures do need to take extra precautions do to their visibility. BUT, that doesn’t mean that she shouldn’t be able to tweet tasteful photos of herself in lingerie!

Prepare To Lose Your Appetite! Russian Man Arrested For Eating Human Liver

So much for eating ANYTHING for the rest of the day!

Today, police in Moscow, Russia arrested a man caught "eating an acquaintance's liver." Yuck.

Here's what a police spokeswoman for Moscow's western district had to say about it:

"When the police came to arrest the suspect, he was eating a human liver with potatoes."

According to the spokeswoman, they found the rest of the partially eaten human liver in a refrigerator.

Here's what the prosecutor general's main investigative unit had to say about it in a statement:

"[The suspect] admitted his crime and that he had eaten part of his acquaintance's liver."

Seems so unnecessary! Instead of eating his acquaintance's liver, why couldn't the two of them just take a trip to Trader Joe's together for non-human groceries?

…Okay, so we're not 100% sure how many Trader Joe's locations there are in Moscow, but at the very least there must have been a bodega or a market somewhere nearby! ANYTHING's better than eating your "acquaintance's" liver!!!

Truly disturbing.

Scientists Find "Obesity Master Switch Gene"

Guess what? We can now “switch off” obesity! Yay!

Sorry to get your hopes up! But this is a really cool discovery! Scientists have found that the gene linked to diabetes and cholesterol is a sort of “master switch” that controls other fat genes in the body. It will aid in the search for treatments for obesity-related ailments.

Said Tim Spector of King's College London, who led the study.

"This is the first major study that shows how small changes in one master regulator gene can cause a cascade of other metabolic effects in other genes."

In the US, obesity-related diseases account for nearly $147 billion inmedical spending every year. We could potentially save tons of lives and money by cutting that back!

We hope this leads to major breakthroughs in medicine. For realz!

Beyonce's Wild Music Video

LOVES IT!

Beyonce's new supa exciting album, 4, doesn't come out till June 2011. But last week the diva treated fans with a wild sneak peek of her upcoming music video for the album's first single Run This World.

In the first 60 seconds of the video's trailer, we see queen B riding a horse but the full length video features more four-legged friends.

According to sources, a lion walks into one of the dance numbers. In another scene, Beyonce has two giant hyenas on leashes. SOUNDS HAWT!

The video's director Francis Lawrence is no stranger to working with animals. His last project, a little film called Water for Elephants, may have inspired the animal element of Beyonce's video.

Victoria and David Beckham are proud parents again!!!

No, Victoria didn't give birth just yet - the couple recently adopted a baby bulldog!

Yesterday Vicky told her twitter followers:

"This is Scarlet our new French bulldog puppy!!! Coco has a sister!!"

Later Mrs. Beckham shared some cute pics of the new pup. One with the hubby she captioned "David loves little Scarlet!!!!she is so cute!!!!!!", and another pic with their older dog Coco who (according to Victoria) said "Look at my new sister!!!!!"

Victoria didn't say how her sons Cruz, Romeo, and Brooklyn feel about the new puppy.

With two girl dogs and a human sister on the way, the boys might be worried that their home is being taken over by women!

Oprah's Doggies Are Her Family

The Queen of love and charity may not have any human heirs to her (hypothetical but totally plausible) jeweled incrusted thrown. But Oprahstill conceders herself a moma!

Sunday one of her Bffs Dr. Mehmet Oz said:

"They're family. They're always around," I don't know if I know anybody else who treasures her relationship with her pets as much as Oprah! There's something about a biological connection we can touch and feel. We all have a need to be needed. What makes Oprah so special is she's remarkably ordinary and extraordinary. The fact that we're all like that and can identify with that is makes her so special."

Last January, Winfrey celebrated her 56th birthday by bringing home two new puppies, springer spaniel siblings Sunny and Lauren. The pups were adopted from PAWS Chicago, the same no-kill shelter where in March of 2009, Winfrey adopted Sadie, a blonde cocker spaniel puppy.

Since that time, pampered pooch Sadie has gone to work with her talk show queen mom and has enjoyed beef and chicken meals personally prepared by moma Winfrey.

Arnold Schwarzenegger fathered a baby with a member of his household staff, and that is what sentMaria Shriver packing ... and right into the office of a powerful financial adviser to get her affairs in order to end her marriage, TMZ has learned.Sources say Maria was distraught after learning Arnold pulled a John Edwards. The baby mama worked for the family for two decades, retired and received a severance package, according to the L.A. Times.

The baby was born more than a decade ago, but until recently Maria thought the father was the woman's husband at the time.

Schwarzenegger told The Times, "After leaving the governor's office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago. I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family. There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused. I apologized to Maria, my children and my family. I am truly sorry."

TMZ heard about the baby 5 days ago, but everyone in the Schwarzenegger camp was denying it. But sources told us Maria was "completely distraught" yet determined to move on with her life. She has not pulled the trigger to end her marriage on the legal side, but she has been working with a very powerful financial adviser who has been helping her position herself for a divorce.

We believe -- though have not confirmed -- there is a prenup, but the couple has been together so long the effectiveness of it is problematic.

UPDATE: Maria released a statement saying, "This is a painful and heartbreaking time. As a mother, my concern is for the children."

She continued, "I ask for compassion, respect and privacy as my children and I try to rebuild our lives and heal. I will have no further comment."
